Casein paint

Here is the finished product. Milk paint usually has a matte finish or, more rarely, a satin finish.

You can keep the casein solution (binder or paint) in the refrigerator for about 3-5 weeks if prepared with lime or borax and more if you used the ammonium carbonate.

In all cases, we must get rid of the milk paint if it has begun to rot or if it smells like it.
