Of brilliant finish, Dammar varnish can be used as a final coat on a completed oil painting. It can also be used to make painting and glazing mediums, which will speed up the drying of oil colors as well as binding those layers with the final varnish. A thin layer of this solution dries approximately within one and a half hour but can stay tacky for up to 24 hours. Resin content: 20 % by mass.
