Of brilliant finish, Dammar varnish can be used as a final coat on a completed oil painting. The heavy consistence of our concentrated varnish is ideal for emulsification in egg/oil mediums or to make glazing and painting mediums.

We prepare our dammar varnish concentrate by dissolving dammar resin in rectified gum turpentine and then filtering it so our customers always get and perfect product. Since the concentration of our product is high it takes approximately 4 months to dissolve.

• drying : A thin layer of this solution dries approximately within 3 hours but can stay tacky for up to 48 hours.
