Gilding bole is a clay paste that is very finely ground on the old granite cylinders and then refined onto ceramic. This formula guarantees the gilder a stable and perfectly homogeneous "assiettage", of the highest quality.

how to use

1. Mix the bole with 2 times its volume of a lukewarm rabbit skin glue or hide glue solution.
2. Spread carefully on the object to be gilded.
3. Apply the gold leaf using the water gilding technique.

This mixture (rabbit skin glue + bole) is essential for the dilution and the fixing of the bole.
